Assault Wing

Assault Wing 1.16.0.0 was published last night. It features the following changes.

• Pilot name and Battlefront rating is shown in the top right corner of menus when you have successfully logged in. Your log-in status is also visible as a large green dot (logged in) or red dot (not logged in) in the Battlefront menu.
• Top right corner in Battlefront games shows a lag warning if it takes too long for messages to reach the game server.
• Spread out pilot colour hues to avoid similar colours.
• Names of disconnected pilots are dimmed in the menu. Earlier the names were dimmed only in the in-game score board.
• Assault Wing comes with a browser plug-in that enables launching the game from a web link.
• Fixed a memory leak in menus.
• Fixed a rare crash when client joined an ongoing arena.

Assault Wing 1.16.0.4 was published tonight. It features bugfixes to 1.16.0.0.

• Fixed game crash when joining a game server with a pilot that wasn't logged in.
• Fixed pilot kill and death counters not resetting between arenas.

The version number has skipped over a few revisions. Those skipped revisions were internal releases. With internal releases we intend to increase the quality of future Assault Wing public releases. There have been a few pretty unacceptable bugs in the past releases. In the future, public releases will be better tested internally. Thanks for your patience so far!

Assault Wing 1.16.0.7 was published today. It features a bug fix.

• Fixed crash after logging in with a pilot whose rating rank was 100 or larger.

Today also the Battlefront pages have been upgraded to a new style. Also the functionality has been enhanced. On the summary page you see in addition to the usual Top 10 lists the newest registered pilots and the player status of all current Assault Wing servers.

There is a new tab for browsing all registered pilots (nearly 150 of them and counting). A new feature is a search field that filters the list by pilot name.
