Post subject:  Changes in Assault Wing 1.22.0.1

Assault Wing 1.22.0.1 was released today. It features the following improvements.

  • Fixed two bugs on game clients; after reconnecting to the game server, the client didn't always gain control over his already existing ship, and the ship was sometimes equipped the wrong secondary weapon and ship modification.
  • Dock repair sound and visual effect switch off when the ship is fully repaired. (Thanks to Street Veteran for the suggestion!)
  • Slightly streamlined networking on game clients.
  • Game clients no longer cut connection to the game server after Alien World was loaded.
  • Fixed occasional crashes on game clients.

Assault Wing 1.22.0.2 was published today. It features the following improvements.

  • Rewrote the message shown by docks when you land on them but you don't get repaired because you have received damage or shot in the last 5 seconds. The message should be more informative now. Thanks to Destroyerer for the suggestion!
  • Ship turning is affected by physics. You can roll over a flat surface :-)
  • Various optimisations to alleviate CPU and memory usage.

Assault Wing 1.22.0.3 was published today. It introduces several optimizations that reduce CPU load during gameplay and should also alleviate some lag spikes during network games.

Post subject:  Changes in Assault Wing 1.22.0.4

Assault Wing 1.22.0.4 was published today. It features

  • More optimizations to lower CPU usage and alleviate lag spikes. And the work continues...
  • Fixed: A client player was assigned its colour only after the client entered the arena. This bug manifested also so that you didn't see newly joined players in the lobby before they entered the arena.
  • Fixed: Target frame rate is now 60 FPS instead of the 58.8 FPS that it used to be. This bug was caused by a silly rounding in a place where it wasn't expected.
